Bad News
At first I was thinking I was goin to listen to a normal band, but Bad News aren't a normal band, it is a complete deranged sit com! It's like watching to the Spinal Tap movie over and over.
Tracks like "We haven't recorded any music yet", the six minutes long track "Excalibur" or "Bad news" aren't real musical tracks because they are based on the members of the band whining all over telling names to each other member, etc. The titles are funny and they sound like "Warriors of Ghengis Khan", "What are we going to wear on Top Of The Pops" or "Cashing in on Christmas". There's also a deranged version of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" where the singer is kinda out of tune. At this point you realize that this isn't about music really. The characters are coming out from The Comic Strip and the people behind the band are Young Ones regulars Rik Mayall, Niger Planer, and Adrian Edmonson, along with actor and writer Peter Richardson.
The album gathers 22 tracks (we can't refer to them as songs) which will make you laugh or will make you wonder why you aren't listening to a proper musical album. The choice is up to you!
